Abstract:Qualitative case study method is used to study a typical high-rise residential neighborhood between urban and rural area of a large city in the south of Jiangsu Province. The analysis of crime data provided by the government shows that the crime distribution has obvious spatial clusters. Then, based on the CPTED theory framework, the environmental characteristics of the crime hotspots are analyzed. Combining interviews with residents, managers and other subjects, factors affecting theft crime are explored. The findings show that the hotspots of crime are characterized by lack of territoriality, surveillance, access control, environmental maintenance, target hardening and low level of activity. Insufficient consideration of crime prevention during environmental design and lack of environmental protection and management provide the possible conditions for criminal behavior. The divergences between residents’ cognition of environmental safety and actual crime location, as well?as?the?game?of?interest?among?different?subjects?in?the?neighborhood,?make?it?difficult?for the environment reform to prevent crime. Finally, optimizing suggestions on crime prevention in neighborhoods are put forward, and its universal adaptability is discussed.

Abstract:The selection of evaluation indicators based on the sensitivity of environmental parameters is an important technical factor in ensuring the validity of Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE). In this study, the controlled study of field test and subjective evaluation to investigate the typical plan and habitable space of seven Guangzhou affordable housing units are used, and obtaines 89 valid measured data and 192 subjective evaluation questionnaire data collecting from Households. POE survey results reflect that the air quality and the natural lighting of the habitable space of typical affordable housing in Guangzhou are good, and the ventilation quality is very well. The tested environmental noise is on the whole slightly higher than the standard value; hot and humid environment, the dissatisfaction rate of thermal environment is relatively high. Based on the statistical test of the 89 subjective and objective matching survey data, by ROC curve analysis and Binary Logistic regression analysis, the subjective sensitivity of important indoor environmental indicators are sorted like this: temperature> humidity> natural lighting illumination> PM2.5, but the actual value of environmental noise indicators needs to be further validated.

Abstract:China’s unique family planning policy has led to the emergence of “421” and “422” family structure, which makes the proportion of the elderly population continue to increase, and the seriousness of the pension problem continue to intensify. At the same time, the problems in early childhood education brought about by the phenomenon of few-generating of family structure cannot be underestimated. But paradoxically, welfare facilities of old-age care and?child-care?in?the?community?are?extremely?deficient,?and?the?use?of?existing?facilities?is worrying. This paper focuses on the problems of old-age care and child-care existing in “421” and “422” family structure emerging from the domestic fertility policy, and puts forward the design idea of welfare facilities of the integrated welfare facilities for elderly and children in the community.

Abstract:Under the lighting effect, the building facade during the night can highlight the charm and emotion different from that of the daytime. The comfortable and proper lighting can not?only?reflect?the?unique?characteristics?of?the?building?but?also?enhance?the?cultural?essence and emotional expression. However, the lighting of most buildings has not been designed properly at present, thus leading to the lack of original feature and essence of the building. Hence, it is important to research the lighting of building facade with the purpose of reacting to the inherent characteristics of the building. Starting from the existing building style in the city, this paper has summarized the facade features of various buildings. After researching the lighting effect of different lighting expression features, this paper has also made a summary of the optimum lighting mode suited to different facade features.

Abstract:In the process of rapid urbanization, the pace of urbanization has failed to be improved and inherited. On the contrary, the speed of destruction of human settlements in small cities has been accelerated, and the degree of damage has been aggravated. The ecological environment of small towns has been seriously deteriorated, and the regional development has been seriously affected limit. The study on the synergistic optimization of the architectural style of small towns in Xihaigu area of Ningxia not only helps to alleviate the contradiction between human settlements in Ningxia, but also provides references for the construction of small towns in northwest China. This paper studies the collaborative research framework of the small town style from three aspects, and tries to establish the suitable construction mode of the small town building style, and promotes it through the establishment of the architectural style control guideline.

Abstract:With the improvement of the importance of the evacuation of primary and secondary school students, in order to quickly understand the effective disaster area of a school and its capacity to carry the disaster population, according to China's primary and secondary school campus planning and design standards ,the area and the proportion of land use in different primary and secondary schools are calculated to obtain the coefficient of effective disaster area in primary and secondary school campus outdoor space as disaster prevention space. This paper analyzes the examples of the primary and secondary schools in Gengma, Jianchuan and Lvchun County, and analyzes the reasons of the deviation between the instance in the standard area and the disaster area. The main reason is that the available green area is too small and the proportion of the sports area is small, on the proportion of building area is too large.

Abstract:Both Funing and Sheyang County of Yancheng experienced the double disasters of large hail and tornadoes on the afternoon of June 23, 2016. Now, post- disaster reconstruction has become top priority. The pressure on reconstruction requires planning farmhouse rebuilding at first and then other plans. Participating in post-disaster survey and data compilation and carrying out specific analysis on the disaster situation forms the research base. This information will help to rebuild domestic and international experience and interpretation of the relevant policies, laws, and to control the direction of the reconstruction plan. From the characteristics of tornado damage and this disaster, rural residences were destroyed, and the farmers living in the affected areas outlined existing defects and summed up the problem of anti-tornado measures. For the above summary analysis of the problem, the thesis discussed the planning of building farmhouses and tried to develop a planning mode after tornado disasters, which would provide some practical advice for futur reference of reconstruction planning.
