      PDF 8.97 M (1827)

Abstract:This paper presents a space syntax analysis on the distribution of catering functions around?metro?stations?in?Chongqing?Municipality.?Based?on?previous?research?fi ?ndings?on?the relationship?between?syntactical?value?and?the?passenger?fl ?ow?data,?this?research?provides?more empirical?study?on?the?triangular?relationship?between?movement,?function?and?space.?The result suggests that local spatial pattern play a dominant role as an attractor. It could reveal the hierarchical of urban centers. It could also greatly affect the growth of hyper-link system which?functions?as?linkage?in?metropolitan?scale.?Furthermore,?based?on?the?reviewing?data from?Dazhongdianping,?this?paper?explores?the?differences?of?using?spatial?distribution?data of?catering?functions?and?their?reviews,?and?the?fi ?ndings?indicate?that?the?visibility?in?virtual space may amplify the actual usages of these functions.
