    • The Comprehensive Utilization Research of Dugout Entrance Space in Mountain City —Take the Design of Chongqing Dongshui-gate Dugout Entrance & Outside Space as an Example

      2012, 93(6):12-16.

      PDF 0.00 Byte (2965)

Abstract:At present, the world situation is relatively stable. Recycling and the use of civil air defense projects in peacetime is becoming one of the most important issues at home and abroad. The research in dugout utilization in plain city is carried out simultaneously with the study of underground space. Dugouts in mountain cities (e.g. Chongqing), have special properties different from the plain cities .For many factors, such as lighting, traffic, psychology and behavior, the efficiency and value of the development and utilization of dugout entrance space is much larger than the internal space. Therefore, the design of entrance space has become the focus of the mountain city dugout development. And then it presents the design principles on the use of dugout entrance space-dynamic, diverse, humane, technology and art integration-after investigating and summarizes its utilization overview, advantages and disadvantages in Chongqing. The purpose of the study is to provide new ideas on the re-use of the mountain dugout space and the sustainable development of urban space in concept and design.

    • The Regeneration of Industrial Architectural Heritage Under the Green Concept

      2012, 93(6):27-32.

      PDF 0.00 Byte (1684)

Abstract:The material carrier left from industrial era is an important component of urban space with heterogeneous characteristics. Industrial methods, as well as its material carrier affect generations and form common historical memory among the community. The key of regenerating the industrial architectural heritage is to take full advantage of existing resources, reserve the advantages of industrial buildings, transform the potential ecological niche into the new reality niche, and correspond to the eco-design principles of low-cost, low technology, low energy consumption, and low pollution which are internationally promoted today. On the basis of differentiating the space characteristics, forms of structure and technology of different industrial buildings with different location and space type, this paper carries out analysis from different perspective according to the orientation of regenerated buildings. And it advocates that the green concepts should be combined into the regeneration of old industrial buildings so as to endow the old industrial buildings with new life. It’s expected that it will provide implications for the green transformation of the existing industrial architectural heritage.
