应县木塔是世界上现存最为高大
的纯木结构古建筑之一,对这栋建筑建筑设
计手法的研究一直是东亚建筑史的经典课
题。本文将在前学研究的基础上深入探讨应
县木塔建筑设计方法的问题。通过对应县木
塔1962年实测数据的分析,并结合前学的研
究推测该塔当初曾以一定的模数制为方法进
行设计。这个模数制包含三级模数:最高一
级的模数为A=884 cm,控制建筑大的比例关
系;二级模数区分为平面尺度模数NP=8.5 cm
和垂直尺度模数NE=22.1 cm,而A=884 cm为
NP、NE最小公倍数的8倍,同时NP:NE=5:13,
准《营造法式》中的八棱边长与斜径之比,这
一级的模数控制着该建筑的中等规模的空间
尺度;三级模数为该塔“分”值:a=1.7 cm,
NP=5a,NE=13a,A=520a,这一级的模数控制
着构件的尺度以及一些空间尺度的微调。 |

Reanalysis of Measured Data Acquired in 1962 of Sakyamuni Pagoda of Fogongsi Temple inChina |

Abstract: |
The Sakyamuni Pagoda of Fogongsi Temple is the existing hugest timber structure in
the world. The research on the design method in this building has always been a classic subject in
the history of East Asian architecture. This article will explore this problem in depth on the basis
of previous studies. Through the analyses on the measured data (acquired in 1962) of Sakyamuni
Pagoda of Fogongsi Temple, it may be noticed that the pagoda would have been designed with
a modulus method. This modulus method includes three levels of moduli: the modulus at the
highest level, the moduli at the middle level and the modulus at the lowest level. The modulus
at the highest level is A=884 cm, this modulus was used to control the proportion of the general
relationship of the pagoda. The modulus at the middle level includes two types: modulus of plan
NP=8.5 cm and modulus of elevation NE=22.1 cm. A is eight times of the least common multiple
of NP and NE, while NP:NE=5:13, the ratio coincides with the record of the ratio of the side length
to the circumscribed circle diameter of a regular octagon in Yingtsao Fashi. These modulus at the
middle level dominate the medium size of the pagoda. The modulus at the third level is the Fen of
the pagoda: a=1.7 cm, and NP=5a, NE=13a, A=520a. The third level modulus dominates the size
of the structure members and the minute adjustment of the size of the space. |
