Abstract:Urban forest park is a special forest park, it is not only the important ecological green space to maintain urban environment, but also has the function of urban parks. Hence, in the urban forest park landscape design, appropriate analysis methods should be used to balance the relationship between forest protection and recreation activities arrangement. Based on the analysis of characteristics and problems of the urban forest park, taking Zhaomu Mountain(Chongqing) forest park as an example, this paper seeks the relationship among natural environment, recreational activities and facilities management with the help of recreation opportunity spectrum (ROS) scoring model and the urban forest park recreation opportunity spectrum evaluation. In addition, it also proposes the landscape design optimization strategy for different grades of recreation opportunity. The aim of this study is to explore the use of recreation opportunity spectrum (ROS) in urban forest park and its influence on landscape design.
