Urban parks are an important part of urban open space system, and its construction level will directly affect the quality of cities. Paris is known as a city with high quality of public space, and its urban park construction experience is worth reference. Bercy Park is one of those large-scale urban parks constructed in 1990s in Paris, whose construction has a considerable effect on the revitalization of Eastern urban areas of Paris. This article analyzes the ideology and detailed techniques deployed for the planning and design of Bercy Park based on the introduction of the history and general situation of the park, and it summarizes the references of Bercy Park for the urban park construction in our country through the review of open urban park planning and design in our country.
