Youma Hmong Village is a well-kept Hmong stockade village with large scale and great structure. The history of Youma village dates back to the Jin Dynasty. In the long history of several thousand years, the village is formed according to the geological shape. Traditional architecture conveys the harmony with nature. This paper has analyzed the ecological environment, morphological characteristics and local building type of Youma Hmong Village. It shows the Hmong’s wise in village planning, streets layout and lanes in different dimensions and building strategies showing ingenuity. At last, it sorts out history, culture and social and scientific value of Hmong village, and underlines that as folk culture carrier, Youma Hmong Village carries within itself distinctive culture connotation. And the village tells the world that how charming the village is and the vividness of people who living there.
