Both Funing and Sheyang County of Yancheng experienced the double disasters of large hail and tornadoes on the afternoon of June 23, 2016. Now, post- disaster reconstruction has become top priority. The pressure on reconstruction requires planning farmhouse rebuilding at first and then other plans. Participating in post-disaster survey and data compilation and carrying out specific analysis on the disaster situation forms the research base. This information will help to rebuild domestic and international experience and interpretation of the relevant policies, laws, and to control the direction of the reconstruction plan. From the characteristics of tornado damage and this disaster, rural residences were destroyed, and the farmers living in the affected areas outlined existing defects and summed up the problem of anti-tornado measures. For the above summary analysis of the problem, the thesis discussed the planning of building farmhouses and tried to develop a planning mode after tornado disasters, which would provide some practical advice for futur reference of reconstruction planning.
