The traditional town of Chengdu plain contains the rich vernacular cultural resources. This paper summarizes the image of the traditional landscape, the town space and the cultural symbiosis of market street that are the characteristics of the image. Then it takes Luodai Ancient Town as an example to analyze the entity elements of space image from the following five aspects and other aspects: streets, interface, area, nodes and landmarks that can be identified so as to explore how to build a distinctively traditional town spatial imagery with local cultural characteristics in the construction of the vernacular residential environment.
