Abstract:The spatial artistic conception of landscape architecture has been turned out to be accompanied by spatial sequences, as it is one of the initial targets for Chinese classical gardens to origin from while go further than nature, which has resulted in the similarity in the case of the organization of spatial sequences in landscape architectures. However, due to the diversity in natural and sociocultural aspects, studies have shown that the spatial sequences in landscape architectures can be very diverse in more detailed landscape scale, which has consequently built up a spatial artistic conception of harmony with distinctness. Basing on the investigation and references examination, here we assess and then diagram the “Three Lanes and Seven Alleys” to accomplish the analysis of spatial sequences and artistic conception of the private gardens in Fuzhou City. We also believe that our approach facilitates the reveal of the status of harmony with distinctness in Fuzhou and Chinese classical gardens.
