As the increasing maturity of vertical green technology, it is more extensively adopted in the building facade design. This article reviews the energy-saving effect of vertical greenery, and discusses the unique expression of the building skin on composition, color, light and shadow when architectural design is in combination with vertical greening. Finally, this paper summarizes the classifications and the key points of vertical greenery design.
