Packing is an algorithm that a certain number of units aggregate under certain composite rules.The combination of Packing algorithm and fractal iteration not only plays important roles in the optimization of spaces,but also has potential applications for architectural design. The paper describes and analyzes different kinds of fractal packing algorithms,including box-type packing, circular packing and irregular packing.The applications of fractal packing algorithm in architecture are studied through design cases.
