With China becoming one of the countries with the largest aging population in the world, the living condition and problems for the elderly are getting more and more serious. It's urgent for the urban planners to improve the living conditions so that the elderly can be taken care of and have houses to live. This paper aims to analyze the current problems and living demands in the built environment by studying current aging trend and learning different cases. Based on that, this paper comes up with some ideas on improving the planning and design of the elderly communities.
