This paper i l lust rated the pol icy or ientat ion of community-based aging services and related facilities in Nanjing, and it’s found that it is basically in line with the international trend. Taking Nanjing as a case for analyzing the present situation of community-based aging service facilities, this paper summarized four characteristics in terms of developing stage, facility conditions, operation mode and spatial needs. In the end, suggestions on planning for community-based aging facility were put forward, covering four aspects—the standard formulation, spatial guidance, operation guarantee and community development.
