The process of sustainable building design involves solutions to both quantif iable and non-quantif iable issues. With the development of computer technology, quantifiable issues can basically be resolved through performance simulation, integrated computation and other computational methodologies while the study on more non-quantifiable issues is progressing relatively slow. This experiment herein tries to introduce qualitative analysis into the building design process and the computer aided qualitative analysis tool NVivo is utilized for experimental applications with the expectation of optimizing building design from the quality level to achieve maximum efficacy in sustainable building design.
