To solve psychiatric hospital occupational and recreational therapy room layout issues, the article is based on the perspective of architectural design, Firstly, it figures out three levels on which occupational and recreational therapy room focused. Further, through theanalysis of activities and patient types, it identifies the actual needs of occupational and recreational therapy room targeted design. Finally, combined with the analysis of cases at home and abroad, from the perspective of multi-level space layout and multi-dimension streamline, it summarizes three basic layout modes, including excluding, sharing and mixing, and suggests the optimized layout patterns to provide powerful reference for design of psychiatric hospital.
