On March 3rd of 2012, the Institute of Landscape Architecture of Japan released Environment and Landscape Graduate School Evaluation Criteria. This paper introduced the overview, contents and other aspects of the Criteria, analyzed and summarized its characteristics. Finally, combined with the situation of master education of landscape architecture in China, learning from the Criteria released by the Institute of Landscape Architecture, it proposes some suggestions in terms of setting educational goals and teaching curriculum, construction of teaching forces, as well supports to students. It’s expected that it will provide references for master education of landscape architecture in China.
