This article studied landscape resources within the planned areas of China- Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City. It raised the concept of Eco-gene in the progress of urban planning and construction, and described the content and classification of natural ecological genes, the content and classification of cultural ecological gene. Meanwhile, the article also discussed the characteristics of localism, inheritance and variability, and proposed the evaluating method for selecting effective protection standards. It raised strategies for regional protection, integral protection and monomer protection. Then, the strategies integrated natural and cultural resources to build a new eco-town performing international characteristics with Lingnan style.
