This paper takes a practical project of conservation planning and design of Laojun Cave Taoist Temple in Nanshan Mountain as an example to explore the approach of conservatioon planning and design based on the natural and cultural resources of Laojun Cave. It proposes the development countermeasure combining rational development and conservation, explores the design approach in terms of tourism development targeting, authenticity conservation and inheritance, superposition of natural and cultural landscape, quality optimization of node space so as to improve the tourism and cultural value of Laojun Cave.
