Restoration design of Shimazhen Or iginal Church with 100-year history marks the official launch of restoration project of key temple and church in Chongqing. This paper firstly describes its historical development in order to understand the historical value of the church. Then it conducted extensive field surveying, mapping and evaluation of the project and drew up the accurate drawing for the project, in this way, the pavement condition and the cause of damage of each single building were finally detected. The evaluation of historical and comprehensive value of the whole building complex makes the restoration process more scientific and reasonable so that the historical information and value can be preserved and continued authentically and comprehensively.
