Funeral architecture, an important symbol of human civilization, has special cultural atmosphere, characteristics of form, and functional organization. This paper gives detailed explanation for the design of funeral parlour in Changshou district of Chongqing, and analyzes the difference between funeral architecture and other types of architecture from the perspective of creating the cultural atmosphere, overall layout, sequence of space, polytechnic lines in architecture as well as architectural form.
