The traffic system of southwest mountain industrial cities have a lot of problems such as few transport channels, low road network density, high ecological sensitivity and so on. The industrial transfer has brought a lager burden to the transport system of those cities. The study on traffic development strategies in those cities has become increasingly urgent. Based on analysis of demand characteristics of those cities, this paper tries to explore the problems of traffic development and propose adaptation strategies for southwest mountain industrial cities.
