    Abstract:

    Based on the connotation and system implementations of the research teaching model in higher education, this article summarizes the achievement of architectural history and theory teaching reform in Chongqing University. Including (a) adjusting the structure of course's teaching system, establishing series includes Base Courses, Main Courses and Exploratory Courses; (b) with the stage goal of Design Courses, establishing coordination mechanism between course group of historical theory and design courses of each grade; (c) under the optimization of the teaching materials, forming a complete but three relatively independent vertical clues in practice teaching system, design course system(assist)and theory course system, which supports the whole research teaching system of history and theory courses; (d) actively exploring the application of problem-based learning and heuristic teaching means in theory courses, to improve the past single taught methods
