This paper bases on the current domestic education of the artistic design of the architectural interior environment, combining the construction of corresponding professional core courses and the prac-tice of teaching reform in the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning, Huazhong University of Sci-ence and Technology. It summarizes and points out the characteristics of a comprehensive university's environmental artistic design major and what should be faced with by reviewing the exploration of the theory and framework of teaching, articulation curricula, the evaluation of quality, the practice, ap-plication and the editing of teaching materials. Furthermore, it puts forward the ideas of the con-struction for the series of courses and the practice of teaching in the future development with a view that the construction of the artistic design of the architec-tural interior environment will play a catalytic role in promoting the personnel trainign .
