As an important part of Confucianism, the code of etiquette culture impacted deeply on the tra-ditional life of society, including living environment, which was advocated by the rulers of the past dynasties. Jiangnan traditional residential environ-ment in between hall and study, being representa-tives of the formal and informal dwelling space, showed different value orientation and did the con-trasted deed: serene and easeful ,systematic and personalized, study design, thereinto, embodying "people-centered"thought and some personal style, especially can be seen as the successful early ex-ample of Chinese traditional field of interior design.
