Analyzing the process of developing a spatial model of high-rise building complex with li-brary and archives in Baiyun District, Guiyang, this paper attempts to explore a way to build up an effec-tive spatial model that can balance various apirations and besides, ensure the presence of real life, which under the multiple influence of the function, the gov-ernmental intention and the public living in city.
