Abstract: |
Historical and cultural districts are an important component of China's urban and rural historical and cultural system. The state attaches great importance to and pays attention to the protection and renewal of historical and cultural districts. The Opinions of the General Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council on Strengthening the Protection and Inheritance of Historical and Cultural Heritage in Urban and Rural Construction, as well as the 14th Five Year Plan, both explicitly state the need to systematically and comprehensively protect and inherit urban and rural historical and cultural heritage, and strengthen the protection and inheritance of historical and cultural heritage. The 14th Five Year Plan also emphasizes the promotion of green development and the use of green building materials and prefabricated buildings. This not only reflects the emphasis on green, efficient, and sustainable development in the construction industry, but also provides a new approach for the protection and renewal of historical and cultural districts. Public service facilities are key elements for improving the functionality of historical and cultural districts and enhancing the quality of life for residents. Its construction is directly related to the vitality enhancement and sustainable development of historical and cultural districts. However, the current state of public service infrastructure in historical and cultural districts is plagued by a multitude of issues, including but not limited to incomplete necessary public service facilities, scattered layout, uneven distribution, and a lack of functional diversity. There is an urgent need for an efficient and flexible design strategy that balances cultural inheritance and functional integration. The study focuses on the renovation and improvement of public service facilities in historical and cultural districts, and explores the feasibility of modular integrated design in the application of public service facilities in historical and cultural districts. It is a feedback to the implementation of major deployments for the protection and renewal of national historical and cultural districts. First, 60 representative historical and cultural districts across the country were selected as the research subjects. The research adopts a combination of online research, on-site visits, and questionnaire surveys to gain a deeper understanding of the basic construction situation of historical and cultural districts, the distribution status of public service facilities, and the specific usage needs of residents in historical and cultural districts. Secondly, based on the research results, the applicability of modular integrated design in the renovation of public service facilities in historical and cultural districts will be analyzed in depth. Then, based on the classification principle of public service facilities in historical and cultural districts, a system framework is established, and standardized modules are designed at different levels to form a design and construction mode from local to overall through modular combination. Furthermore, the adaptation principles, implementation strategies, and operational processes for modular integrated design of historical and cultural districts have also been formed. Finally, taking the Elderly Service Center in Zhoujiakou Nanzhai Historical and Cultural District, Zhoukou, Henan Province as an example, a confirmatory practice will be conducted. Based on thorough research, this design innovatively integrates the two functional modules of community canteens and day care centers, constructing an integrated service model of "elderly care + catering". The project not only effectively addresses the elderly care needs within the historical and cultural district, but also provides convenient dining and takeaway services for residents. The research results of this article are of great significance for promoting the sustainable development of historical and cultural districts, and improving the construction efficiency and quality of public service facilities. Under the dual background of protecting and updating historical and cultural districts and developing green industries in architecture, modular integrated design provides new possibilities for the integration of tradition and modernity, as well as protection and development. It not only meets the needs of architectural renewal in historical and cultural districts, but also improves the quality of life and enhances the overall vitality of the districts. Through standardized and systematic design, modular integrated design quickly responds to market demand, not only simplifying production and installation methods, greatly reducing the impact on the surrounding environment of residents in historical and cultural districts, but also effectively constraining the external conditions of historical and cultural districts, supplementing necessary public service facilities, and achieving effective renovation and sustainable development of historical and cultural district buildings. This article is a preliminary exploration of the modular integrated design of public service facilities in historical and cultural districts, which can provide some reference for the future practice of prefabricated modular renovation of public service facilities in historical and cultural districts. |
