Abstract:
Winter city is very cold in winter, and plants are withered. It greatly affects the attraction to public space, and reduces interest to do outdoor activities. Through enhancing the landscape activity of public space, the frequency of outdoor activities may be increased. Based on winter area’s unique climate conditions, the paper takes landscape activity of public space in cold city as the main object, and combines with Alexander pattern language to identify three environments that affects landscape activity factors of winter city public space, namely natural environment, event environment and space environment. Based on it, the paper constructs evaluation index system and evaluation system which include three levels, and then constructs evaluation model. Transformation point and strategies are obtained when the evaluation model is used in transformation design example. Through post use evaluation, it is feasible that the model may guide the design and transformation of public space in winter city.
