| 内蒙古藏传佛教大经堂是吸收和融合了多民族建筑文化的杰作，具有汉藏结合的特点，即在藏式经堂密梁平顶构架的基础上更多地应用和强调了汉式建筑形制中的歇山顶和廊柱环绕的形式。这种汉藏合璧的建筑造型是内蒙古藏传佛教大经堂建筑的主要营造法式，是藏汉建筑文化结合得最巧妙和最完美的典范。内蒙古藏传佛教大经堂的建筑装饰艺术造诣深厚，工艺技术达到了很高水平，使用的主要艺术形式和手法有木雕、彩绘、铜饰、石刻和壁画等。屋顶、墙体和门窗的装饰，是藏传佛教建筑装饰的主要精华部分，是大经堂建筑装艺术的集中表现，带入了蒙古族、汉族和藏族的装饰，极具民族特色。内蒙古藏传佛教大经堂建筑既有坚固粗犷一面，也有精雕细刻、流光溢彩、富丽堂皇的一面，置身其中仿佛走进装饰艺术的殿堂。 |
